Hide content from search engines - a little guide
« on: October 23, 2011, 07:06:23 pm »
The entire suite can be found here http://www.realtimeplease.com - if you where not already aware of that.

We don't want to let the search engines know all about the content on our sites - always.

Why not? Well sometimes we have data that is duplicate content, links or private info we don't want the search engines to know about.
What can you do then. Not much really - until now :-)

How to use it
  • Simple paste the HTML you want to "hide" and then press "Do it"
  • Copy the code generated in "Output and finished result
  • Replace the initial HTML with the generated code on your website and you are done

Don't let the search engines decide what to index and not. It's YOUR time to be in control - total control :-)

Google CAN index Javascript if they want to. But they don't on regular sites (only certain comment-systems and large sites). Too expensive currently for them as it takes longer to crawl - lot more requests etc. Simple math :-)
