QR codes for cpa

Print out links to your CPA sites using QR code generators. Glue them on walls all over your city and people will definitely be drawn to them.

Actually thought of something similar the other day...using the restroom at Wal-Mart :D  Basically, you just need to get a pack of the printable label stock that they sell there, print out your offers, and slap them in every stall you can find :)

QR code = Quick Response code.  If you look around, they are popping up everywhere.  Basically they are 2D bar codes that allow you to send an sms or email, forward someone to a site, all kinds of things.  Definitely something to get into, as they are pretty novel now and you want to strike before they are 'everywhere' and the newness wears off.

While out today, I found an example of what I am hoping to implement regarding QR codes in my area, but they are doing it wrong...at least I think they are.  Does anyone know how strict the minimum requirements for QR codes are?  From what I saw, the company that is currently offering the service is getting them printed at less than the 1" requirement that I've read more than once, and just curious how strict they are...

Honestly the bigger the better but a phone can pick up on them if they are 1" I believe. I have some advertisements that use 1.5" and they work great.

Hey, EC thanks for the reply. Like I said, the 1" inch thing is what I'd seen while doing research, but these are not even 1/2" tall. The advertiser that is using them is in my target market and I'm hoping that the lack of response on these codes doesn't turn them off to all things mobile.  Thinking of pointing out the fact that they don't meet the standard as a way to demonstrate my knowledge in the area.

Now I am sure you know what you are talking about however, I have seem some similar codes that are the size you are describing but they are different codes and they are not qr codes. So, you are sure they are qr codes?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure...even though I kind of wish they weren't....then I could spin it the other direction and explain how all the big companies are using QR codes instead.  What I think it is, is that the advertising company sold them on the idea and is just executing it the wrong way...

And just thought I'd go ahead and drop this link in here since QR codes are the topic...here's my preferred generator site -

Code: [Select]
http://keremerkan.net/qr-code-and-2d-code-generator/
I know everyone has their favorite, but I like this one because of the EPS option...makes scaling the code a lot easier and doesn't blur like any of the raster formats.

This works only when you have a local offer. But I keep travelling and I don't have a local offer most of the time but I found a new trick which might just work. Will have to check on my next trip soon. Thanks for the idea :D

Not sure what you mean by only working with local offers, but you could always just make the QR code direct to a page that you have control of...then just change where that page redirects ;)
