Adsense can be a good start for you since you already know SEO. Just throw a site together, do some SEO on it, and then figure out if you think that the pay-off is worth it or not. You can get some pretty good clicks, I get some for about $2.50, just make sure to pick a niche that will pay high for Adwords.

I have a few dozen adsense sites and they do very well. I have a site that gets 2.00 clicks 99% of the time. Just depends on the niche you go after.

And even if you don't like the niche/don't think it'll be worth it, you can always unload it on someone that doesn't want to put the initial work into setting up a site ;)

I have sold hosting in the past and it sucks big time. Hostgator was the biggest scammer of all. They never paid my commission saying the cards which were used were fraud. I do not believe that since I sold these hosting to my family and friends for their business websites.
